How to manage an NFR client

Partners can now designate one client account to benefit from Not-For-Resale (NFR) licenses. This is ideal for internal training, demo purposes, or testing the platform with full functionality.

How NFR license allocation works

Full platform access

The NFR client has unrestricted access to all features, packages, and add-ons available on the platform.

Included licenses

The first 10 licenses are free of charge, including any selected add-ons.

If more than 10 licenses are assigned to the NFR client, the additional licenses will be billed according to the selected package and add-ons.

Consistent package per client

You cannot apply different package types to the free and paid licenses within the same NFR client — all licenses must follow the same configuration.

License management

Partners can upsell (add more licenses) or downsell (reduce the license count) at any time, following the same rules outlined in the Subscription Lifecycle Management article.

One NFR client per partner

Each partner can only assign one client as their NFR client.

NFR licenses are non-transferable and cannot be reallocated to another client account.

How to create an NFR client

To create the Partner NFR client, follow the same instructions as provided in How to create a new client with the following differences:

  1. To create a new Client, log in with your partner admin credentials to SoSafe’s Partner Platform and in the top-right corner, select + Add client.

  2. On the Client details page:

    1. Tick the checkbox Yes, assign NFR licenses to this client, and select Next.

  1. On the Address page, enter the client’s address details and select Next.

  2. On the Package page, and depending on the total Licenses to be purchased, the setup will automatically inform the number of remaining licenses to be charged, if any.

  1. Select Save to be redirected to the page to Set up a new client.

How to assign NFR licenses to an existing client

The NFR license allocation can be done after the client creation, if no client has been assigned the NFR licenses.

  1. Go to the Settings, and then Company menu item on the left.

  2. Click on Assign to this client and then click on Yes, assign.

How to identify an NFR client

The NFR client can be easily identified through the corresponding NFR tag under the Partner Platform management dashboard.

The same NFR tag is also displayed alongside the client name in the client platform, and the number of NFR licenses is displayed on the client Subscription page.
