What does SCORM mean?

SCORM, which stands for Sharable Content Object Reference Model, is a set of technical standards for eLearning software products. SCORM tells programmers how to write their code so that it can “play well” with other eLearning software. It is the de facto industry standard for eLearning interoperability. Specifically, SCORM governs how online learning content and Learning Management Systems (LMSs) communicate with each other.

More info on SCORM and its different versions can be found here: https://scorm.com/scorm-explained/one-minute-scorm-overview/

Which SCORM version is supported?

SCORM modules need to be created in SCORM 1.2 version.

How to create SCORM files

SCORM files are created in solutions called e-learning authoring tools. An e-learning authoring tool is a software program that enables users to create learning content, lessons and courses using text, media, and interactions.

Which authoring tools do you suggest?

With a wide array of authoring tools available in the market, we refrain from making specific recommendations. Our platform is compatible with the SCORM standard 1.2, and it is essential that the chosen authoring tool can effectively create modules that adhere to this standard.
