What does SCORM mean?

SCORM, which stands for Sharable Content Object Reference Model, is a set of technical standards for eLearning software products. SCORM tells programmers how to write their code so that it can “play well” with other eLearning software. It is the de facto industry standard for eLearning interoperability. Specifically, SCORM governs how online learning content and Learning Management Systems (LMSs) communicate with each other.

How to create SCORM files

SCORM files are created in solutions called e-learning authoring tools. An e-learning authoring tool is a software program that enables users to create learning content, lessons and courses using text, media, and interactions.

Which authoring tools do you suggest?

There are numerous authoring tools available on the market, but we would recommend these based on the compatibility with our platform. If you have any other authoring tool, that does not mean it's not compatible with our platform, but it is something we need to check as each tool has its specifics. In that case, please contact your SoSafe representative to check the tool’s compatibility.

Who has the legal rights to the content I upload?

The rights to the Custom Modules and any other materials you upload to our platform (e.g., policies) remain with you as described in the License Agreement.
