PRB installation manual for Microsoft 365

Updated

This document shows how you can install the SoSafe Phishing Report Button add-in for Outlook if you use Microsoft 365.

Requirements

One of the following environments is required:

  • Microsoft 365 for Business / Microsoft 365 for Education

  • Exchange Server 2016 (only Hybrid), Version 15.1.544.27 (CU3) or later version

To install the Phishing Report Button you need a manifest file. This can be downloaded in the SoSafe Manager. Navigate to Phishing Report Button / Microsoft integrations. Select your environment and select Save to confirm. Then, select Download manifest file. Alternatively, you can select Copy URL and then use said URL later.

The centralized deployment of add-ins should be enabled. Further details are available on this Microsoft page.

After the installation is complete the button can be used in the following mail clients:

  • Outlook 2016 (or higher) for Windows

  • Outlook 2016 (or higher) for Mac

  • Outlook on the Web (for Exchange 2016 or higher and Microsoft 365 )

  • Outlook for iOS

  • Outlook for Android

Outlook 2013 is no longer supported.

Note: Microsoft limits shared mailbox compatibility. For details on supported environments, see this article.
